It’s a small but steadily growing community, we’ve got some illustrators, photographers, painters and no surprise a bunch of poets – there’s even someone who carves food!

So without further adieu, I want to introduce a new section to our arsenal of updates.

Chris Jarmick has been with us since the beginning of April, and Napowrimo and he’s cranking out the poetry in his Blog Posts.

There’s almost a post a day, and often more then one poem there in.

Join up now and fill out your profile with your own poetry, art work, photography… whatever makes you a unique and creative person – and we might make you our featured community member!

In honor of NaPoWriMo we’re going to feature one NaPoem everyday in the month of April on dash30dash.

That’s right everyday we’ll post up a full poem by one lucky NaPoWriPoet, linking to his/her website and they’re dash30dash profile (on our Ning community)

Obviously we can’t scour the whole internet looking for poems that have been written strictly for this event – it would take hours.

If you’re interested in being a featured NaPoWriMoPoet Join our NaPoWriMo group and sign up to our ning community. Then everyday you write a poem, post the poem or a link in the NaPoWriMo group.

By that evening we’ll have picked our lucky poet and put it online here.

If you’re a writer that’s been on the internet a while you’ve probably come across NaNoWriMo and Script Frenzy – but have you heard of NaPoWriMo?

April is national poetry month and with that comes the challenge to write a poem a day and keep the doctor away. Wait, what?

So we’re challenging you to pick up the gauntlet and write one poem a day, and not just one Haiku fill a page with poetry.

Since the boys over at NaNoWrimo are too busy with Scriptfrenzy – join us over on our NaPoWriMo group on the dash30dash ning and post your poems there!

Share your poetry, prose, art work, etc in:

• your own personal blog
• start a group for your favorite things

We’ll be keeping  close eye on the things our early members put up, and consider them for publication when the magazine portionof the site returns!

Art Poetry News

Back in 1998 Dash30Dash started (just outside Philadelphia).

Originally a place for aspiring poets to send their work, the site quickly grew and metophorphized in several directions, artwork, art news, gallery showing, etc…

For almost 3 years dash30dash was a beacon in the void of the web that shed some light on art and poetry – and then we were snuffed out. a combination of things, including a rotating volunteer staff, cross country moves and even death put Dash30Dash on a near permanent hiatus.

Until now.

We’re coming back – bigger and better.
